essay: 指任何一种非小说性的,篇幅不长、结构简练的文章,如论说文、报道、评论、讽刺性杂文等。在国外，人们都管话题作文和论文统称ESSAY。Essay可以看做是说明文，也可以是议论文。总体来说就是引用别的事物来证明某个观点。

第一段的写作手法一般分为anecdote，quotation，general to specific，interesting facts or statistics，historical introduction。body paragraph一般每一段都有三个main support，每个main support都附带minor supportconcluding paragraph一般有两种手法。restatement and final comment。In the first paragragh, let others know what are you writing about. Then, bring out the points and explain it. A good essay does not need to be a long one. It just need to have a good grammar, relevent points and good explanation. Add proverbs and good words if you can.
